The Haiku Foundation welcomes you to Haikupedia!

Haiku contests and awards offer a fun and effective way to polish your work. This month, we feature a number of haiku contests from many corners of the world. We start off with documents that detail the relatively new Triveni Awards (2024- ) and the Society of Classical Poets Haiku Competition (2020- ). The Kaji Aso Studio International Haiku Contest (1988- ) page has been updated and fine-tuned. Other revisions you may want to peruse include the Polish International Haiku Competition (2011- ), Babishai Haiku Award (2016-2020) (Uganda); Morioka International Haiku Contest English Section (2019- ) (Japan); American-based competitions: the Harold G. Henderson Haiku Awards (1976- ), Peggy Willis Lyles Haiku Awards (2013- ), and Marlene Mountain Memorial Haiku Contest (2018- ); Canadian contests: the Betty Drevniok Award (1998- ), Prix Jocelyne-Villeneuve (2012- ), Prix André-Duhaime (2021- ), and Marianne Bluger Book and Chapbook Awards (2020- ). Updated documents covering awards of recognition include the European Top 100 Haiku Authors (2010- ), Touchstone Distinguished Book Awards (2010- ), and Touchstone Awards for Individual Poems (2011- ).
