Christina Chin

The Haiku Foundation honors the work of contemporary masters of the dual art of haiga: visual image wedded to haiku. This month we feature a collaboration between Christina Chin and Takatoshi Goto.

Her work has been exhibited at the Palo Alto Art Center, California. She is provided the haiku for the MusArt book of Randall Vemer’s paintings published by ArtReach Publication, Portland, Oregon. Among her awards are 1st prize in the 34th Annual Cherry Blossom Sakura Festival 2020 Haiku Contest; 1st prize in the 8th Setouchi Matsuyama 2019 Photohaiku Contest; and two City Soka Saitama’s 2020 haiku prizes. She is published in numerous journals, multilingual journals and anthologies including Japan’s prestigious monthly Haikukai Magazine.
