John Stevenson (born 1948, Ithaca, NY) is a former president of the Haiku Society of America (2000), former associate editor (2002 – 2004) and editor (2005 – 2008) of Frogpond, and current managing editor of The Heron’s Nest (since 2008). His collections of haiku include Something Unerasable, Some of the Silence, Quiet Enough, Live Again, d(ark), Emoji Moon, My Red, and This Once. He was an honorary curator of The American Haiku Archive at the California State Library (2018 -2019) and, since 2007, has been the English-language judge for an annual students’ haiku contest sponsored by the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations and the United Nations International School. He is a founding member of the Route 9 Haiku Group, which publishes Upstate Dim Sum.
