Dr. Vidya Premkumar is a poet, visual artist, and educator based in Wayanad, Kerala. After over two decades of teaching literature and gender studies in Mumbai, she now finds creative refuge in the rhythms of rural life. Her poetry — often grounded in the Japanese short form tradition — has appeared in Pan Haiku Review, Failed Haiku, #FemkuMag, and others. She is the author of frame story, Living in an Indian Laputa, and Musing While Living. A visual artist with international showcases, her work explores the intersections of memory, silence, and resilience. She believes small poems can hold entire worlds.
