Marion Clarke is a short form poet and visual artist from Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland. She was runner up in the Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing, 2023, Grand Prize Winner in the Setouchi-Matsuyama Photo Haiku Competition, 2022, runner-up in the UHTS Samurai Haibun Contest 2020 and winner of the Financial Times’ ‘Haiku Poet in the City’ Competition, 2015. Her short form poetry features regularly in international journals and anthologies and a selection of her work is published by invitation in the first two national collections of haiku from Ireland. In 2022, Marion judged the haiku section of the San Francisco International Competition and was guest editor of the haibun journal Drifting Sands in September, 2023.
