Back within my day, we all poked and popped zits to get rid of them. And we figured out that this has not been so intelligent, because this could scar your face and be even worse than those zit by itself. Utilizing exfoliants can be a good way to help with getting rid of the p-acnes that causing acne, and can help in preventing the scarring as well.

If you use a great exfoliant, it will help to clean those pores in addition to keep them unclogged so they can respire. It clears away the old epidermis plus allows for the new skin to be healthy and clean. This condition is brought on due to a change in the hormones. That is why a lot of of it’s victims are teenagers. Oily skin will be where pimples thrives, but you don’t want to get rid of all the oil. Keeping the skin clean with a mild cleanser can be quite helpful, but do not overdo it.

If you first begin the acne treatment, don’t expect fast results. It takes time, it’s a healing. In fact there are lots of quality solutions on the market that can help you to control and also often rid yourself of this condition totally. Being acne free will be goal of all teens who are at that delicate stage of life.

For lowering bacterial infection and removing dead skin, Benzoyl peroxide is a big help. You will find it in most solutions that are put out there to treat acne. It helps to hold the pores open making them less susceptible to blockage and infection. Most acne patients treat by themselves 2 times daily using a solution that contains this hard- working anti- bacterial agent.

Depending on the severity of the condition, you may want to seek the advice of your dermatologist. Although many get by with just utilizing home treatments with great success. The treatments obtainable are not one size fits all. Every case brings it’s own issues, and some home remedies work for some, while not for other people. Therefore you should have some shopping to do.

Once you understand what the main source of acne is, you can have a better working know-how for choosing a product that will work out fine. Excess oil production contained in the skin, excessive hormones, as well as an ineffectiveness of the immune system for destroying the cystic acne- causing agent ‘P. Ances’, are the three main root causes for producing cystic acne.

Being acne free won’t just mean getting rid of zits, or acne. But blackheads are another part of this skin condition. There’s many information you can find via the internet for products for skin damage and for day-by-day cleansing. Managing acne is no picnic, and it will be a really hard time for anyone who may need to suffer through it. So when you have it, then research it, and count yourself lucky for the availability of knowledge you could have in our day. It was not so a few years ago.

Acne Causes – How to Cure Your Acne in 3 Easy Steps

January 7th, 2010

Author: Rachelle Madison
Source: ezinearticles.com

One of the worst things that I experienced while growing up was acne. I had very bad cystic acne which caused me to have a very bad complexion and low self-esteem. I was able to cure all of this after a great deal of research. I narrowed it down to five easy steps that you can start doing inexpensively today.

Most people that suffer from acne are unaware that there are many underlying factors that can cause it and not just one or two. There are many myths about how acne is caused by sugar and chocolate. Some people believe that eating fatty foods can also be a primary cause. The truth is that multiple causes equally to the type of acne that you have.

The first way to begin to clear your acne up is to stop using all of the strong chemical lotions that you may be using to help dry out your skin. When your skin begins to dry, it causes the sebaceous glands to go into overdrive to produce oil on your face. This oil gets clogged because the drying process shrinks the size of the pores.

Therefore, by eliminating any extra source of skin drying topical solutions such as rubbing alcohol or special creams that you get from the store or by prescription, you will allow your skin to return to a normal state of oil production and pore size.

The second way is to watch what you eat. Although it is commonly thought to be a myth, sugar truly does increase not only the size of the acne that you have but the duration that it is on your face or any other part of your body. I have changed only one aspect of my diet which was removing all sugary products and saw a dramatic decrease in the acne that I had in size and in amount.

The third way is to reduce your stress level. Many of us are under stress whether it is monetary or through the relationships that we have. By eliminating as much stress as possible from your life, you will be able to reduce the amount of adrenaline that the adrenal glands are producing which have been proven to indirectly affect the amount of acne that a person has.

By following these three easy steps of eliminating over drying skin products, reducing or eliminating the raw sugar in your diet, and reducing the amount of stress that you have on a daily basis, you will be on your way toward a clearer complexion and a higher self-esteem.

Acne scars are difficult to remove. For people who have had long bouts with acne, there is constant worry about overall appearance. But with Lomita acne treatments, people who suffered from acne before now have a better chance of improving their skin. Lomita acne treatments are fast becoming popular as more and more dermatologists adapted their use. Lomita acne treatments are particularly beneficial for those who are not agreeable to continuous intake of antibiotics to get relief from their acne. Lomita acne treatments also involve the use of a yellow light to destroy the bacteria that causes acne. The treatment has also been proven to increase natural collagen growth, which prevents the formation of scars. Lomita acne treatments are usually performed on people who have acute cystic acne and have long suffered from the condition. Cystic acne is a type of acne that’s rooted down below the surface of the skin. This condition is characterized by rapture and eruption of acne that leads to permanent scarring. To permanently recover from this severe condition, affected people need to undergo Lomita acne treatments. The actual procedure for Lomita acne treatments entails the application of topical anesthetic followed by vaporizing damaged skin layers using a laser. When the process is done, new cells are formed, giving way to smoother and youthful skin. One of the benefits that Lomita acne treatments offers is that it provides an easier way of controlling the depth of treatment, unlike most other treatments. This is a vital factor since there are some people who only need shallow treatment for surface scars. This flexibility is also important for other patients with deep-rooted scars who require deeper laser penetration. Another advantage that Lomita acne treatments has is its ability to smoothen wrinkles at the same time that it gets rid of acne scars. This is because the laser stimulates and increases the production collagen in the face, thereby giving it a clearer and younger appearance. The recovery period for patients who undergo Lomita acne treatments is dependent on the amount of treatment they received. Some side effects of the Lomita acne treatments include swelling as well as slight redness. After laser treatment, topical treatments are usually prescribed for application on the treated skin to assist it in its healing process.Lomita acne treatments usually cost in the region of $500 for 15-20 minutes of laser acne treatment sessions. Though this may seem pricey, it is eventually cheaper in the long run since this type of treatment lasts longer than others do and provides a higher success rate and faster cure.br

Natural Acne Cures – Read This First

As someone who used to suffer from cystic acne I am very much aware how confidence bruising bad skin can be and how much it can affect your life. Thankfully, having spent many years researching and trying to understand the root cause of acne, I have been acne free for the past 6 years. Im writing this article to give you an overview of what worked for me in the hope that youll have a better chance of clearing any skin conditions that you have too.

Unfortunately I have lost quite a lot of confidence in the vast majority of dermatologists out there. For a number of years I was prescribed treatments that simply didnt do anything to resolve my acne. Thanks to my research, I now understand why these treatments were useless and how they didnt attack the core of the problem but were rather just an attempt to alleviate the symptoms. Its the same with anything – if you dont deal with the problem directly, it doesnt just disappear.

Heres What I Learnt and What Worked for Me

The actual cause of acne is all down to toxicity levels in your body. Toxins exist in all of us but the liver, kidneys and bowels are always working to filter these toxins out of our body because they are not good for us.

When everything is working how it is supposed to the organs in the body can filter out all of the toxins leaving the body in a healthy state. However, when the toxicity levels get too high or organ function within the body is hampered for whatever reason then the body needs to find an alternative way of getting rid of the toxins. It must get rid of the toxic waste because otherwise they are harmful.

To remove the toxins your body then tries to excrete it through the skin wrapped in sebum (oil). It is this oil that clogs the pores in your skin and allows the growth of acne causing bacteria.

This is why treatments such as Benzoyl Peroxide and other topical treatments are not fighting acne from the root. They attack the problem too late in the cycle. It seemed to make much more sense to me to get the toxicity levels down to more manageable levels so that toxins dont need to be excreted through the skin.

So I started to study what caused toxins and how we can reduce our intake. I also began to look at how to increase organ function so that our liver, kidneys and bowels could get better at removing the toxins.

I found that toxins were caused by a number of things, but only a few were likely to be problematic. Firstly, the diet – no matter what anyone says about the relationship between diet and acne, they are related. Secondly, conditions such as Candida and other kinds of yeast infection – these commonly cause skin problems in unsuspecting sufferers. Lastly, hormone levels – these are commonly unbalanced which can be toxic to your body.

I started to understand what foods I should be avoiding, what superfoods that help clear toxic residue, how to check if I had Candida and what I needed to do to balance my hormones. Within just a few weeks I noticed an incredible improvement in my skin. It wasnt clear by any stretch of the imagination, but the improvement was very noticeable.

My next step was to try and increase the toxin filtering capacity of my kidneys, liver and bowels. This primarily involved doing some kind of cleanse to remove stagnant bile and unwanted waste that could be hampering their functioning. What an incredible effect this had. Even after just a couple of days of doing a liver cleanse my skin showed incredible improvement and my general well-being had increased many times over.

Within 6 weeks of starting the program all my cysts were gone and my acne had reduced from severe to mild. I was over the moon with the results. Another 4 weeks later and my acne was completely cured – hardly a spot on my entire body. I then had to consider how to remove the few scars that I had, but thats another story.

In Summary

The dermatologists had prescribed me all sorts of treatments: Benzoyl Peroxide, Erythromycin, Oxytetracycline right the way through to Roaccutane but nothing cured my condition. Even the Roaccutane had negligible effects on my skin. I managed to clear my skin by:-

- Learning what foods to eat and what to avoid
- Checking for signs of yeast infection and other bowel problems
- Understanding how to balance my hormones
- Cleansing the organs that filter out toxic residue

The four steps sound easy in theory, but in practice takes a bit of work. I assure you that it is definitely worth the trouble, and sitting here having had clear skin for the past 6 years I can truly say that it has changed my life.

br
br
pIm hoping that my advice here will serve as some kind of lightbulb moment that spurs you into taking action. I used the step-by-step guide called a target=_new href=http://www.i-reviewsonline.com/content/face-acne-body-acne rel=nofollowacne no more/a to look at each of the four components to the natural acne cure that I discussed above and, as I mentioned, within 10 weeks I had clear skin. I spent a further 8 weeks removing my scars (cystic acne generally leaves quite noticeable scars – it certainly did for me) using this a target=_new href=http://www.i-reviewsonline.com/content/scar-removal rel=nofollownatural scar removal/a program to fairly good effect. News about skin treatments using ALA and PDT

December 20th, 2009

Author: Anonymousbr
Source: free-articlesbr
br
New York, NY June 26, 2004 — (Advanced Dermatology PC) The medical community is always searching for a โ€œmagic bulletโ€ treatment that can cure any host of ills without delivering a laundry list of side effects. While dermatology experts are stopping short of using that term to describe Aminolevulinic Acid, they are finding that the drug can be highly effective in the treatment of numerous skin conditions, with only a few mild side effects.

Aminolevulinic Acid (ALA), an FDA approved treatment, in concert with Photodynamic (light) Therapy (PDT) is used to treat Actinic Keratoses which are skin lesions that can lead to skin cancer. Dermatologists and researchers across the country have been studying its effectiveness in resolving other skin conditions, with positive results. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, such investigational use of ALA with short-contact PDT can help to resolve moderate to severe cystic acne, rough and discolored sun-damaged skin, rosacea, severely oily skin, and some types of warts, achieving success rates between 25% and 90% in small-scale studies and single-practice surveys. (The AAD has recently called on the National Institutes of Health to engage full clinical trials of ALA-PDT therapy on these conditions.)

Joshua Fox, M.D., founder and director of Advanced Dermatology P.C. and a leading dermatological expert, believes that one of the most important benefits of ALA therapy is the absence of reported harsh or long-term side effects. He explains, โ€œMany patients with severe cystic acne, rosacea and other serious skin conditions are prescribed antibiotics or isotretinoin โ€ or both โ€ as primary long-term treatments. Antibiotics are often ineffective, though, and can lead to immune resistance problems in the long run, as well as the questioned association with breast cancer, while the use of isotretinoin has been linked to a variety of difficulties, from headaches and fatigue to dry skin and vision troubles, birth defects and rarely suicide.โ€

Patients undergoing ALA therapy with short-contact laser therapy, on the other hand, are likely to experience only slight tingling or burning at the therapy site, and some mild swelling for a few days after treatment is complete. According to a study published in the January/February 2004 issue of the Journal of Drugs for Dermatology, researchers at the University of Montreal Medical Centre found no long-term negative effects of ALA-PDT therapy, even when used on large surface areas of the skin.

According to Dr. Fox, ALA-PDT is a classic example of a combination therapy, because neither step alone is as effective as both steps are together. Heres how it works: a solution of the Aminolevulinic Acid is applied to the affected areas of pre-skin cancers of the skin for a period of 20-60 minutes and removed with a sterile swab. The skin is then exposed briefly to a special blue light or laser, which activates the drug. โ€œWhen the ALA is activated by the laser, it generates a toxic reaction within the diseased pre-cancerous cells, and they die off โ€ a process called necrosis,โ€ Dr. Fox explains. Because practitioners are able to pinpoint the therapy only to the affected areas of the skin, patients are free from the worries and discomforts often associated with systemic necrotic therapies like topical chemotherapy that may blister and crust much of the face. โ€œThere is much less โ€˜collateral damage โ€ healthy cell destruction โ€ and faster healing – with ALA-PDT therapy,โ€ Dr. Fox adds.

โ€œAminolevulinic Acid and Photodynamic Therapy offers patients with a variety of other dermatological issues hope,โ€ Dr. Fox concludes. โ€œSome of these conditions are both disfiguring and painful, and often the standard treatments for them can add even more discomfort. ALA-PDT therapy, on the other hand, offers an effective alternative that can be quickly and safely administered by a dermatologist, and is measurably gentler to the patient.โ€

How to Get Rid of Zits – What Works and What Doesnt

December 20th, 2009

How to get rid of zits-thats something many want to know. Many people are simply confused about where to start, and with good reason.

There is no shortage of potential solutions to your problem, and the key is finding the right one. If there was one thing that worked for everybody, everybody would be doing it, right?

You basically have two options when it comes to how to get rid of zits. One, you can pop it and risk getting a scar, or leave it alone and allow it to disappear on its own accord.

When you pop it, you risk getting a permanent scar or a hole that actually delays the healing procedure. Both of these are obviously much more serious than the original pimple, so avoid popping them if at all possible.

Instead, using natural acne remedies is the way to go, both for taking care of them immediately, and for keeping them away long term-something that popping the pimple doesnt accomplish. One method for how to cure pimples is to use some sort of medication that a dermatologist will recommend.

However, the ideal solution and the one you should use is to get rid of it naturally; in other words, not a medication. Medications really just cover up the real problem which is your health.

Sure, they treat the surface issue, which is the skin that reflects what is underneath, but not the root problem. The healthier you are, the healthier your skin will be and the better it will look.

Nature, as usual, is the best method for how to get rid of zits, and you can use things like green tea, aloe vera, among many others to get rid of your pimples. Most of these tips work well for less serious forms of acne, and the worse kinds, such as cystic acne, you will have to go to greater lengths to get rid of.

Another thing that many people overlook is the importance of sleep in eliminating acne; getting a sufficient amount, whatever that is for you is very important. Getting less than enough sleep tends to make acne worse.

Make sure to wash yourself consistently each day, and dont ever skip a shower. This is particularly important if you sweat a lot, but even if not, showering can really help keep your acne at bay.

When you combine the above tips with a healthy and sound diet and enough exercise, you increase your chances of success. Natural methods are always the answer for how to get rid of zits, not only now but to keep them away forever.
