People incorrectly assume that whiteheads, blackheads, cystic pimples, and just plain old, regular normal acne is only going to pop up on their face. They probably get acne from time to time on other body parts, such as their legs, chest, or even their lips or ears, but they don’t talk about it as much because they feel that they are weird for having acne all around their body.
There is nothing weird about having acne anywhere on your body! Acne is not limited to your face by any means. The majority of people that have acne on their face most likely are inflicted with acne on their body as well.
Body acne is highly genetic, meaning that you take after your parents for the most part. If you have acne in a particular spot, the odds are that one of your parents, if not both struggled with acne their at one time or another. This is both good and bad. You will be able to talk to your parents about your acne problems and they will be able to relate with what you are going through, but body acne being highly genetic can also be a downer as well, you have less control over your acne, meaning that you can try to prevent body acne all that you could possible want and still be inflicted with acne.
Treating body acne correctly is very important. Do everything you can to not pop body pimples that you get, I know that it is tempting, but popping the pimple is not going to help you at all in the long run and it could leave a noticeable acne scar.
