Remove Whiteheads – Mine Are 100% Gone, Yours Can Be Too

by admin on Dec.02, 2009, under Uncategorized

Dealing with the annoyance of whiteheads is something that really is not necessary if you are using an effective whitehead treatment and facial routine. What Exactly Are Whiteheads? Whiteheads are nasty looking pustules that can appear just about anywhere on the body, but mostly you see them on peoples faces.ÂThey are basically infected hair follicles that form bumps that are filled with oil, bacteria and dead skin cells.ÂWhen this all rises to the surface of the skin and cannot escape, it completely blocks the pores, causing the white pus-filled lesions calledÂclosed comedones or whiteheads.Should You Remove Whiteheads By Popping Them? It is a popular notion that popping whiteheads is a bad thing because popping them could spread the infection to other areas of the skin and cause the existing whiteheads to become worse and leave more scarring. Treatments to Remove Whiteheads Some treatments for whitehead removal which are popular include the following: Treating the whiteheads with products such as Benzoyl Peroxide or Retin-A – although not a cure, these products have been known to offer relief.ÂHowever, they can be irritating to the skin or cause excessive dryness and peeling. Using prescription antibiotics (topical or oral) is another common treatment which helps with infection, but it does little or nothing to actually get rid of the whiteheads. Accutane, also known as Isotretinoin, is another prescribed medication for comedones, but it is usually not prescribed for milder acne, like whiteheads, but for severe cystic acne.ÂThis medication is also known for inflicting very serious and dangerous side effects on people. Extracting the whiteheads (closed comedones) is a procedure that should be done by a qualified Dermatologist, but some people do it themselves with a comedone extractor.ÂBe careful.ÂIf this procedure is not performed correctly, it can cause damaging effects to your skin and not even remove the whiteheads, making them worse. The real key to success for removing whiteheads is following an effective facial routine which includes a system that works.ÂThe right skin care method is essential to getting rid of whiteheads and should be a high priority in your daily routine. Im Audrey and I had a face full of whiteheads and after trying a number of things to get rid of them that did not work, I found a way to remove whiteheads myself and now my face has been clear for over 5 years. Your face can finally be clear too with the treatment regimen I used. Get it right now by visiting: http://AcneControlTreatment.com/site – you dont have to suffer anymore.br

Cystic Acne Treatments – The Various Types

by admin on Nov.30, 2009, under Uncategorized

br
There are several cystic acne treatments. Some of them include accutane, oral antibiotics, surgical excision and drainage. Intralesional corticosteroid injections are also used as treatment. This condition is the most severe form of acne vulgaris. It develops into small cysts that can be quite painful. It is caused by excessive build up of sebum in the pores. This form of acne can affect the face, the chest, the back, shoulders and sometimes the upper arms.

Cysts are normally filled with a white pus-like liquid. If this condition is not treated early, it may lead to scarring. Intensive treatment can therefore help minimize the extent of scarring. Accutane is one of the cystic acne treatments and works by altering the DNA transcription. Altering DNA not only decreases the size but also reduces the activities of the sebaceous glands.

This treatment makes cells that enter the sebaceous glands less sticky making it hard for the formation of blackheads and whiteheads. It also helps to kill bacteria in the sebaceous glands as well as those found on the surface of the skin. There are several side effects associated with this drug. If you are pregnant, you are not supposed to use this drug because it can lead to birth defects. The defects can be abnormalities in the central nervous system, cardiac and in the thymus gland.

Surgical excision and drainage are another cystic acne treatment where a small incision is made in your skin and the infected material is extracted. In intralesional corticosteroid injection, medication is injected directly to the affected area. This helps to reduce inflammation as well as shrink the blemish.

How to Cure Acne and Prevent Future Outbreaks

br
Acne is an emotionally painful condition that effects almost everyone at one time or another. Its causes are not fully understood by the medical community and is therefore difficult to treat. Because it is so commonplace and affects so many people, we tend to make light of it. However, for those who suffer from severe cystic acne, its negative effects are almost impossible to ignore.

There are a number of effective medical treatments for acne including Over the Counter Benzoyl Peroxide treatments, antibiotics, Isotretinoins, and natural or herbal treatments.

Benzoyl Peroxide – It is believed that Benzoyl Peroxide works by killing the bacteria that causes acne in the first place. Generally it takes about four weeks for Benzoyl Peroxide to work and once begun it must be used consistently and continually in order to remain effective. As soon as the user stops applying it, the acne will come back.

Antibiotics – Antibiotics may be applied topically or taken orally. Like Benzoyl Peroxide, they kill the bacteria that causes acne, which apparently prevents outbreaks. However, they do not address other causative factors of acne and therefore must be used in concert with other treatments in order to be effective. In addition, they cannot be used by pregnant women, or those who think they might be pregnant.

Isotretinoins – The most famous isotretinoin, accutane, has been in use for years and is especially useful in treating severe cystic acne. However, it can have severe side effects. It cannot be taken by pregnant women, those who may become pregnant, or by breastfeeding moms. It also carries and increased risk of depression and suicide. Anyone taking this drug must be under the consistent care of a doctor.

Natural Remedies – For those who want to stay away from the side effects of drugs like Antibiotics and Isotretinoins, there are a number of good natural remedies available. Some are better than others and you will want to do some research and try some that have been successful for other people.

External and Internal Causes

by admin on Nov.29, 2009, under Uncategorized

br
Acne causes are multifactorial. The exact cause of acne has never been pinpointed, and it is believed that several interrelated factors can cause acne. Perhaps it is because we often are unable to determine the root cause of acne in individuals that the statistics of this skin disease is so shocking. The causes of adult acne and causes of cystic acne are particulary difficult to determine. 17 million people in America alone have acne. If you are between 12 and 25, you are among the 85% of people who have acne. 25% of men and 50% of women get acne during their adult lives. The following are some of the external and internal factors that have been linked to acne in some way. External Contributors to Acne Click for All Natural Cure For Stopping Acne In 3 Days! Makeup and skin care products Comedogenic skin care products can cause irritation or make you break out. These include any products that clog oil ducts. Look for non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic products, but be aware these products can still make you break out. Occupation Depending on where you work, it is possible that your work environment can cause acne. Such environments include manufacturing or construction facilities where you may come in contact with chemicals or polluting agents that cling to the skin. Too much sun Evidence shows that another that exposure to sun rays is also one of many acne causes. This can even cause acne a few months after exposure. Climate Humidity can cause moisture in follicle cells to swell up. On the flip side, dry air can create thick sebum inside follicle cells. Both extremes can ultimately cause acne. Picking and squeezing pimples Click for All Natural Cure For Stopping Acne In 3 Days! Touching your face or using your fingers to pick or squeeze pimples is one of the simpler acne causes that are more from habit. Picking pushes bacteria deeper into the skin cells or spread the bacteria already beneath the surface of the skin. Sweat Sweat trapped in by your clothing creates an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. Friction caused by leaning on or rubbing the skin or the pressure of bike helmets, backpacks, or tight collars can contribute to or worsen acne. Internal Contributors to Acne Bacteria Bacteria that typically live on the skin are a contributor to acne. The bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes are responsible for causing acne. These bacteria create enzymes that dissolve the oil in the skin, and irritate the skin causing inflammation. Sebum production Generally, there is a relationship between the amount of sebum produced and the severity of acne. The largest sebaceous glands are located on the face, neck, chest, upper back and upper arms. Follicle growth Sometimes follicle walls will grow abnormally and this can cause acne. As well, increased growth of cells can interfere with the follicles and form a plug. This plug gets bigger until it bursts and spreads bacteria on the surface of the skin. Hormones Many acne causes come from hormonal change or imbalance. There are hormonal changes during stress, menstruation, pregnancy, stopping/starting birth control pills, menopause, and hormonal disorders. Androgens: Androgens are produced by the adrenal glands is one of the internal acne causes that stimulate oil glands and oil production. Increased androgen levels leads to more acne. Stress: Although stress doesnt directly cause acne, it will aggravate it. This is because stress leads to increased androgen levels, which then affect your sebaceous glands. Diet Dermatologists still aren’t 100% sure if what we eat affects acne. There exists an ongoing debate among experts about the role of food. Prescription drugs and steroids Certain drugs, including lithium, barbiturates, and steroids such as for muscle building (androgens) are known to cause acne. Genetics If your parents had acne, or one of them, there’s a chance you will inherit their complexion. It is now believed that acne can run in the family, but the specific genetic factor has not been discovered. As you can see, there are many acne causes that can be both independent or interrelated. It is almost impossible to separate out interlinking activities that contribute to acne. Being aware of these acne causes can help you minimize breakouts. Acne: Fact And Fiction

by admin on Nov.29, 2009, under Uncategorized

br
Myths about acne die hard. Old wives tales about its causes continue to persist, in spite of scientific condition to the contrary. This article aims to shed light on some common myths about acne and attempts to separate fact from fiction.

Myth 1: People who have acne are unclean and maintain poor hygiene

There is absolutely no truth to this statement. Acne is caused by a hormonal imbalance in the body. When the oil glands responsible for keeping our skin waterproof and moist, over react to produce excessive quantities of sebum, they block the associated hair follicle, causing clogged pores, which develops into acne. So hygiene has absolutely nothing to do with it. In fact unnecessary scrubbing of the skin can exacerbate the problem. Do take care of your skin though – wash your face gently and pat dry.

Myth 2: Eating the wrong foods will lead to acne

The fact is that there is no co-relation between what you eat and acne. The chocolates, the French fries, the cheese pizza, and all those other fatty foods that have been lambasted ever so often, because of their unhealthy consequence have no affect whatsoever on your skin. However, eating a well balanced diet makes sense. So while you dont have to be concerned as to whether your favorite treat affects your skin (at least directly), do remember that it does affect your overall health.

Myth 3: Acne is caused by stress

The truth is that the stress that most of us experience as part of our day-to-day existence does not lead to acne. Sometimes, acne can arise as the side-effect of drugs taken to treat severe stress. Talk to your doctor to find out if your stress medication is responsible for your acne. Stress can however make an already existing acne condition worse.

Myth 4: Acne is a merely a cosmetic disease

Well, acne does affect the way you look and yes, it is considered a threat to your physical well being. However, the fact remains that in some cases acne can lead to permanent scarring which is more than just purely cosmetic. Acne affects people psychologically. It is known to affect their perception of themselves, their self-esteem and confidence and their interaction with others. It can cause feelings of frustration, depression and social embarrassment.

Myth 5: Acne can not be cured

With the kind of products that are available in the market today, there is no reason why anyone should have to suffer the agony caused by acne. The fact is that acne can be cleared up with the right medication and a regime specific to their needs. Consult your dermatologist if you have acne./pbr

How to Cure Any Kind of Acne

by admin on Nov.28, 2009, under Uncategorized

Author: Dan Calawaybr
Source: ezinearticles.combr
br
It doesnt matter if you have severe cystic acne or mild blackheads, the route to completely clear skin is the same and it doesnt involve creams or harmful pills. For 10+ years I had not only blackheads, but whiteheads, cystic acne, and horrible body acne. You name it, I had it. After trying 99% of the acne cures on the market, I am finally clear.

How did I get clear, and how will you get clear? It comes down to lifestyle changes. Its not a miracle cure because that does not exist, but it is a healthy and long-term solution to acne.

The first thing you need to analyze is your diet. Despite what almost every dermatologist says, acne plays a crucial role in acne development. This has been proven by numerous studies. You have to eat foods that regulate your insulin levels (which in turn regulates your hormones–the cause of acne.) Cutting out inflammatory foods is also something that is necessary, so cut out all the excess sugar and vegetable oils to start.

The next thing on the agenda is exercise. If you do not get at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise 4-5 times a week, start now. Aerobic exercise in particular is great at improving circulation and regulating over-active hormones, which is what acne prone people have.

Lastly, I recommend supplementing with 3 high quality supplements. They are all natural and can be found at any health food store. This step isnt mandatory, but it will speed the process along. Spirulina is one such supplement and it is one of the most nutrient-dense super foods on the planet today.

How to Completely Cure Acne – Period

by admin on Nov.26, 2009, under Uncategorized

br
Most people that have had acne long term fall into one of two traps. The first being that they think they can cure their acne with commercial products or pills, and the 2nd being that they think they are stuck with acne until they grow out of it. Neither of these falsehoods could be further from the truth.

The real truth is that the only way to get completely clear is the natural way. It is not a quick fix, but a healthier alternative that does take some work. If you dont have the motivation to make some lifestyle changes, then you should look somewhere else because this article is not for you.

For the rest of you that have tried everything under the sun with little to no success, I will tell you how you can get completely clear in just about a month or so if you follow my guidelines.

The first thing you need to do is alter your diet. If you are genetically prone to acne you simply cannot eat the same foods that your friends and family might be able to eat. It might not be what you want to hear, but its true. Inflammatory foods must be eliminated as well as foods loaded with hormones (dairy is one of the biggest culprits here.)

Next, you need to get at least 30 minutes of exercise (preferably aerobic) 4-5 times a week. This will improve your circulation and regulate over-active hormones, which is what causes excess sebum (which ultimately causes acne.)

Lastly, and this step is optional, I recommend a few high quality supplements. This will speed along the clearing process, but is not absolutely necessary if you get the proper nutrients from your diet. Spirulina, for one, is a high quality super-food that can be found inexpensively at just about any health food store.

If you want a detailed blueprint on how you can become completely acne free in under 4 weeks, check out my blog today. Good luck.
