Fortnight: The Season of Thanks & Giving — Day 6

Welcome to Fortnight: The Season of Thanks & Giving, The Haiku Foundation’s annual fundraising drive, lasting from Thanksgiving to Saint Nicholas Day. During this period, we post daily special presentations highlighting the work we accomplished in the past year to thank our generous patrons. Each day of the fundraiser, we will offer a new set of highlights from 2025.
The Haiku Foundation is funded in its entirety by community donations. Will you help by contributing?
What Our Users Say:
“I dig into The Haiku Foundation website at least once a week — there’s always something new. I really appreciate the breadth of information and perspectives THF offers to an increasingly worldwide community of poets!”
THF Fact of the Day:
In 2025, The Haiku Foundation presented the work of a dozen haiga artists working with a variety of media and models. More than 300 new pieces were debuted, and are now available in the Haiga Galleries, which is managed by THF’s Chair of the Board Jim Kacian.
JUXTA Featured Article:
Juxtapositions: Research and Scholarship in Haiku, the only journal dedicated to these matters in English, celebrates its 11th anniversary this year. JUXTA is the product of several dedicated haiku scholars, editors, and contributors. To celebrate this milestone, we are featuring selected articles throughout our fundraiser. Today’s article, from JUXTA ELEVEN, is “‘Multitude of Stories to Tell’: An Interview with Beverley Nambozo Nsengiyunva” by Sheila Smith McKoy.
