Fortnight: The Season of Thanks & Giving — Day 9

Welcome to Fortnight: The Season of Thanks & Giving, The Haiku Foundation’s annual fundraising drive, lasting from Thanksgiving to Saint Nicholas Day. During this period, we post daily special presentations highlighting the work we accomplished in the past year to thank our generous patrons. Each day of the fundraiser, we will offer a new set of highlights from 2025.
The Haiku Foundation is funded in its entirety by community donations. Will you help by contributing?

A comment from a poet whose book was featured in Book of the Week, hosted by Dan Campbell: “Thank you so much for your thoughtful reading of this collection, and your eloquent appraisal of it.”
THF Fact of the Day:
In 2025, The Haiku Foundation continued expanding its encyclopedia of haiku, Haikupedia, by adding dozens of new long and short biographies, country updates, and topical articles. Haikupedia‘s editor-in-chief is Charles Trumbull.
JUXTA Featured Article:
Juxtapositions: Research and Scholarship in Haiku, the only journal dedicated to these matters in English, celebrates its 11th anniversary this year. JUXTA is the product of several dedicated haiku scholars, editors, and contributors. To celebrate this milestone, we are featuring selected articles throughout our fundraiser. Today’s article, from JUXTA ELEVEN, is “A Multitude of Perspectives — A Review of One Thread: Zoka in Contemporary Haiku” by Mary Stevens.
