THF Volunteer Appreciation Day 2024

Fourth Annual Haiku Foundation Volunteer Appreciation Day

September 21, 2024 marks our fourth celebration of THF Volunteer Appreciation Day. The Haiku Foundation’s Board of Directors extends a heartfelt Thank You! to all who have offered their time, energy, and expertise. We are extremely grateful to have such a dedicated group of volunteers working in various capacities on many projects to make this endeavor such a success over many years, from committee chairs and members; hosts, editors, guest editors and contributors of current and past features, Haikupedia, and Juxtapositions; those who work in the background to maintain THF’s website and forum; coordinators and judges of the annual Touchstone Awards; to those who oversee the work of the Foundation as officers and board members. You can find a complete record of all our volunteers on our Service list. (If you note any omissions or errors, please let us know.)

Again this year, to recognize the significant contributions of all THF volunteers, editor Scott Mason has compiled an anthology that features the work of over 100: bee here now: The Haiku Foundation Volunteer Anthology 2024. All past and present volunteers were eligible to participate. In addition to the online version, you can purchase a print version here.

Note: If you’d like to revisit THF’s Volunteer Appreciation 2022 and 2023 Anthologies, go to THF’s Volunteer Appreciation page.

  2. Thank you. I plan to order a print version. And thank you for the invitation. I helped begin the Education Resources, years ago, with Jim Kacian, Editor, and THF Board at the time. Sometimes I look back at the Haiku Lessons and think, “Who wrote these?” I brought my work in education, and the haiku content is from The Haiku Foundation. So many people have added to this work. The Haiku Foundation takes good care of the work. Thanks again.

  6. Thank you for the brilliant idea of recognizing the contributions of volunteers to the Haiku Foundation. It is a great honor to be featured in the anthology for the third time. I thank the editors for their great effort in preparing this and previous editions.
I would be grateful if you could rectify the typo in my name. Although it may be too late to make the change in the printed version, correcting it in the electronic version should be feasible.
