Fifth Annual Haiku Foundation Volunteer Appreciation Day
If you hear enthusiastic applause, that’s because today marks the fifth official “THF Volunteer Appreciation Day.” THF’s Board of Directors wishes to thank all volunteers past and present for your unwavering efforts on behalf of the Foundation. You are the bedrock of this organization. We couldn’t have accomplished our high goals without your participation, consistent work behind the scenes, and unbridled enthusiasm. The ranks of THF’s volunteer team have grown during the past several months, and we’re excited to see new initiatives taking shape for the Foundation. All of this is possible because of you, so we hope this day we’ve set aside to recognize your contributions conveys our sincere gratitude.
As in past years, we’re pleased to present a new volunteer anthology. For 2025, co-editors Marta Chocilowska and Robert Kania compiled material focusing on volunteers of the past three years. With the theme of “back to childhood,” Kick the Clouds is a beautiful edition that we’re sure you’ll enjoy perusing. Our thanks also to Robin Smith and book setter Jacob Salzer for their invaluable assistance throughout the production process.

Thank you so much for your work on this absolutely beautiful anthology!
Many thanks, Theresa and to Marta and Robert for editing ‘Kick the Clouds’ and to Jacob and all others who’ve contributed to the making of this anthology.
Thanks to all who produced/edited the anthology and all who sail(ed) in her!
My 17 year old nephew was perplexed by mine but then sarnies are mostly factory produced and inside hard sometimes razor-sharp plastic, as bad as a paper cut if you get it wrong!
